Hagedornhagen Copenhagen and Södahl
In autumn 2017 there will be a special edition from Södahl. The Danish manufacturer of quality textiles for the home has entered into an interesting collaboration with Hagedornhagen Copenhagen, which has created the Design Rock series - a series of textiles that differ significantly from what we otherwise see in the market.

The small simple beetle was the start of a design adventure!
Ten years ago we founded hagedornhagen.
Our idea was to make design posters, so there was an alternative to the large department stores, all selling the same unimaginative posters.
Today, one could say that we started a worldwide trend with innovative design posters.
A year ago, we were ready to try something new, after we had been approached by other big companies, who asked us to design for them.
Today we design, among others for Bolia, Kay Bojesen and Södahl.
We are also working with other exciting new design projects with other partners.

Last year we were contacted by Rosendahl Design Group where we were asked to interpret the original drawings of the zebra by Kay Bojesen. And now you can see our results.

Hagedornhagen Copenhagen launch six new designs
The two photographers have found their inspiration in the 1980’s colors and choice of subject and in the Danish artist Vilhelm Lundstrøm, who is known for his Cubist studies of everyday objects in strong colors.

Butterfly with GOLD
A novelty from hagedornhagen is a butterfly poster made with gold. Selected areas of the butterfly have been gold-plated thus making parts of the print glisten and gleam caught by the light. The poster is limited edition and is available only in 70x100 cm. (only 400 pcs)

Hagedornhagen Copenhagen is today launching a new website, with our new graphic identity implemented.
The Hagedornhagen novelties, such as Folium, New Collection and A Collection, have been a success from the start, and our design has opened up possibilities abroad, where
agents in i.a. Italy and New York have joined in.
All the publicity has made it possible for us to work on designing product-ranges for larger design stores and chains.

Our new series Folium is again a tribute to natural phenomena, and to the unique found in detail. The leaf is a kind of very advanced collector, which is life-giving in more ways than one. We have selected three newly sprouted leaves, and photographed them in hard light, as if they were put directly into the sun. The designs are simple, ultra sharp and graphically beautiful. Folium posters are only available in 50x70 cm

The design duo Claydies has designed a new range of woven Christmas paper hearts with captivating motifs from Hagedornhagen`s poster-collection. The range combines the joy of Christmas craft making with little symbols of Danish summer. A sheet consists of 8 different patterns ready to cut out and fold, printed on hige-gloss paper.

A new series of elegant poster inspired by the French eord Pompon, which refers to a small decorative ball made from fabric or feathers. The round diffuse shape of a withered dandelion is combined with typography to create an exquisite graphic look. The series consists of 3 posters with different colour backgrounds. Each poster is printed with silver,which adds a unique quality to the product. Pompon posters are only available in 70x100 cm

hagedornhagen has been founded by the two photographers Mads Hagedorn-Olsen and Anders Morell. We have 10 years’ work-experience in the field of advertising, with our partnership morganmorell, and throughout the years we have received a number of prestigious prizes and diplomas.
At hagedornhagen we have a passion for creeps and tiny winged creatures. For this reason, we have collected, prepared and photographed selected types of beetles and butterflies, and created a series of artprints of very high quality, as regards to both craftsmanship and artistry. Each artprint has been produced in a limited edition of 2000 copies. We have photographed the insects with a High End camera, which reproduces the colours and details of the motive most convincingly, and we have spent a lot of care on printing techniques and choice of paper. A hagedornhagen artprint is, in short, a product that has been carefully prepared and carried through down to the minutest details.
The artprints have a look that conjures up visions of old silk screen prints with nature motives. They simply buzz with nostalgia and poetry. At the same time, the photographs express innovation and modernity due to their graphic simplicity and illustrative sharpness. The artprints will look good in modern homes, where furniture classics are mixed with vibrant vintage artefacts. They will also look fine with a drawing pin in each corner, fixed on the wall in the children’s bedroom.
